Since 2010, the Festival du Film Merveilleux is committed to supporting artistic creation. The association is a professional springboard for young film artists of tomorrow. The activities promote professional meet-ups and cultural exchanges. The festival also helps in the promotion and distribution of film works from the whole world, facilitates inter-professional meetings and helps encourage the emergence of young talent.
The Festival du Film Merveilleux also helps rediscover our planet’s different cultures. It promotes the world’s cultural and artistic varieties in a fun and magical way! We offer workshops for kids around STEAM, the SDGs and image literacy.
With the festival we have been co-organizing creative meet-ups since 2011. To name a few : Afterwork Cinema in partnership with Sylvie Dimet ( director of the Festival du film d’animation de Paris ) From 2011 till 2012, Meet The pro ( Paris from 2010-2016 ), Create your fairytale ( workshops for kids at Centre d’animation Ravel during Art 2 jours festival 2011-2015 ), Cocktail and screening du Festival du Film Merveilleux during Cannes film festival ( 2011- 2018).
The festival du Film Merveilleux loves to travels to offer off-site programming to its international audience. Here are some of the partners who have hosted the festival’s programs and events: the cultural institutes of London (United Kingdom) and Palm Beach (Florida). The Cabriolet Film Festival of Beirut (Lebanon), the media library of the city of Cannes, the Eden in Cannes and the Google Campus in London. If you are a director or producer you can still submit your film for the next edition on film freeway here . The 14th edition will take place in the mythical cinema Le Christine in the heart of Saint Germain des Prés in Paris.
