About Benedicte Beaugeois

I am Bénédicte Beaugeois, the Founder and Director of the Festival du Film Merveilleux de Paris, an international film festival celebrating the enchanting worlds of magic and fantasy. Based in London, I also serve as a Board Member and Director of Technology at the American Women’s Club of London, where I oversee technological strategies. I am also the founder of Pymoon, a brand dedicated to developing innovative STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics) educational products.

My professional journey began with an internship in the Protocol Ticketing Department at the Cannes Film Festival., the world’s most renowned film festival. This experience gave me a unique insight into the film industry and event management, setting the stage for my future career.

Following my introduction to the entertainment world, my professional career advanced in the French public sector. I undertook specialized roles with URSSAF, the Journal Officiel, and the French Tax Office. In these positions, I honed my skills in administrative and financial management, which proved essential as I transitioned across sectors.

In the creative sector, I gained extensive experience with various film production companies before taking on the role of Tracking Manager at Peermusic, the world’s largest independent music publisher. I strategically analyzed data to verify and optimize royalty distributions, thereby enhancing artists’ income and significantly impacting the company’s financial performance.

From 2014 to 2017, I represented Dyslexia International at UNESCO, advocating for international educational reforms and influencing policies to better accommodate educational needs.

Partnering with Google for Nonprofits on my film festival highlighted the transformative potential of technology, inspiring further exploration into the synergy between creativity, storytelling and technology. Through my involvement in initiatives like The Women Leadership Paris Program and Positive Planet France, and as a mentor with Social Builder, I have empowered entrepreneurs to leverage digital tools to enhance their businesses and contribute to a sustainable future.

Additionally, I cofounded programs such as Movies around the World, Cannes Digital, and the Kaleidoscope Merveilleux, orchestrating various digital and innovative events including VR experiences, educational workshops, mentoring programs, and startup pitches.

Educationally, I studied music and dance at CHAM / CHAD and earned executive certificate and degrees from ESSEC Executive Business School and the Ecole Supérieure d’Enseignement Cinématographique – Groupe EDH and Ecolearn X De Vinci Executive Education.
